9. Selection Notes

  1. Material Compatibility: This valve combines three premium materials:

    • C95800 Body/Discs: Provides the base structure with exceptional seawater corrosion resistance .

  2. Flow Direction: Dual plate check valves are uni-directional. Ensure the valve is installed with the flow arrow matching the pipeline direction.

  3. Installation Position: Suitable for horizontal or vertical lines (flow upward). For vertical lines with downward flow, a spring-assisted or gravity-closing type is required (consult manufacturer).

  4. Water Hammer: The spring-assisted closure minimizes slamming and water hammer, but system design should still be verified for rapid flow reversals.

  5. Gaskets: No additional gaskets are required between flanges, as the valve body acts as its own gasket. Ensure flange faces are clean and parallel.

  6. Bolt Length: Use longer studs or bolts to pass through both flanges and the valve body.
