4. Pressure & Temperature Ratings (PEEK Seat)

Note: The final working pressure must comply with the material group limitations of ASME B16.34 for ASTM B62 and the mechanical limits of PEEK.

Temperature Max. Working Pressure (Class 1500)
Ambient (-29°C ~ 38°C) 370.5 bar (5370 psi) *
100°C (212°F) (Derated per ASME B16.34 & PEEK properties)
200°C (392°F) (Derated per ASME B16.34 & PEEK properties)
260°C (500°F) (Derated per ASME B16.34 & PEEK properties)

> This is the standard Class 1500 rating per ASME B16.34. Final rating must be verified based on the specific material strength of B62.

5. Dimensions

*Note: For a 3/4″ Class 1500 threaded ball valve, dimensions are typically similar to forged steel valve standards (API 602) or short pattern ball valves (API 608). The values below are estimated. Final dimensions should be confirmed with the manufacturer’s drawing.*

Dimension Value Notes
Face-to-Face Length (L) 111 mm (4.37 in) Estimated (Reference short pattern)
Height (H) – Handle ~ 120 mm (~4.72 in) Estimated (Closed position)
Width (W) – Handle ~ 160 mm (~6.30 in) Estimated
Port Thread 3/4″-18 NPT ASME B1.20.1 Standard Taper Thread
Wrench Flats (Hex) ~ 32 mm (~1.26 in) Estimated
Flow Coefficient (Cv) 12 – 18 Estimated; based on port diameter

6. Test Data (Per API 598)

Test Type Test Pressure Notes
Shell (Hydrostatic) 562.5 bar (8156 psi) 1.5 x 375 bar (Rated Pressure @ 38°C)
High-Pressure Seat Test 412.5 bar (5980 psi) 1.1 x 375 bar (Rated Pressure @ 38°C)
Low-Pressure Seat Test 5.5 bar (80 psi) Air

7. Features & Options

  • Operation: Standard lever handle with locking device.

  • Blowout-Proof Stem: Standard design.

  • Fire Safe Design: Optional (Requires API 607 certification).

8. Important Note

ASTM B62 (C83600) is a copper alloy typically used for low-pressure applications. While technically possible, using B62 for Class 1500 high-pressure service is highly unusual and requires strict engineering verification to ensure the material’s allowable stress meets the ASME B16.34 requirements for this pressure class. For high-pressure Class 1500 applications, materials like ASTM A105 (Carbon Steel) or A182 F316 (Stainless Steel) are more common and recommended unless there is a specific reason (e.g., corrosion resistance in low-pressure systems) for using bronze.
