  • NACE Compliance: MR0175 (Requires material upgrade)

  • Accessories: Locking device / Extension stem / Position indicator / Chainwheel

Design Notes:

  • Non-Rising Stem (NRS) : The stem rotates within the valve; the gate travels along the stem threads. This design is ideal where vertical space is limited.

  • Handwheel Operation: Provides mechanical advantage for easy operation. Standard rotation is clockwise to close.

  • Bronze Trim: Provides excellent corrosion resistance and long-term reliable sealing. Bronze-on-bronze seats are standard for water and low-pressure steam services.

  • Cast Iron Body: Suitable for non-shock applications; must be protected from rapid temperature changes and water hammer.

Application Notes:

  • Suitable for: Water distribution, wastewater, irrigation, fire protection, HVAC, and general industrial services.

  • Not suitable for: High-pressure steam, severe thermal cycling, or highly corrosive fluids (consult manufacturer for material upgrades).

  • Installation: Can be installed in any position. For buried service, consider stem extension and position indicator.

Note: This datasheet is prepared for a Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve with cast iron body, bronze seats, brass stem, NPT ends, and handwheel operation per MSS SP-70 / API 598. Ensure selected materials, pressure rating, and trim are compatible with the specific service conditions.
