It features a reduced bore design to optimize flow characteristics under high pressure and is equipped with a spring-return single-acting actuator to achieve Fail-Close functionality upon loss of air supply or control signal. 7. Design Features & Advantages

  • Fire-Safe Design: In the event of a fire destroying the soft seats, the metal-to-metal contact between the ball and the seat support ring provides secondary sealing, minimizing internal leakage.

  • Trunnion Mounted Ball: The ball is fixed by upper and lower stems with bearings, reducing operating torque and ensuring stable performance under high pressure.

  • Double Block & Bleed (DBB) Capability: When fully closed, the cavity between the seats can be vented, allowing for online maintenance.

  • Automatic Cavity Relief: The seat design allows automatic pressure relief from the body cavity to the pipeline, protecting the valve body from overpressure.

  • Anti-Blowout Stem: The stem is retained by an internal shoulder in the body, ensuring it cannot be forced out by line pressure even if the packing gland is removed.
