Technical Data Sheet

Product: DN80 – PN40 Flanged Soft Seated Floating Ball Valve
Model: [To be specified]

1. Product Description

This flanged floating ball valve features a soft‑seated design, providing excellent bidirectional shut‑off performance. Compact construction, low operating torque, and fast quarter‑turn operation make it suitable for a wide range of applications in oil, gas, petrochemical, water treatment, pharmaceutical, and general industrial services for on‑off control.

2. Main Technical Parameters

2 Ball A182 F304 / F316 Chrome plated, hardfaced coating
3 Seat PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) RPTFE (Reinforced PTFE), PEEK, Nylon
4 Stem A182 F304 / F316 17‑4PH, Monel
5 Packing PTFE V‑ring set Flexible graphite
6 Body Gasket PTFE / Spiral wound (SS + graphite) Metal ring gasket
7 Operator Lever (with locking device) Gear operator, pneumatic/electric actuator

4. Key Features

  1. Soft Seating

    • PTFE or reinforced PTFE seats offer excellent self‑lubrication and tight shut‑off (zero leakage).

    • Low friction torque, smooth operation, and extended service life.

  2. Blow‑out Proof Stem

    • Stem is inserted from inside the body, preventing ejection under pressure, ensuring safety even in abnormal pressure conditions.

  3. Antistatic Device (Optional)

    • Grounding springs provide electrical continuity between ball, stem, and body to prevent static charge buildup in hazardous environments.

  4. Bidirectional Sealing

    • Floating ball design allows equal sealing in both directions; no orientation limitation.

  5. Fire Safe Design (Optional)

    • Conforms to API 607 / ISO 10497. In case of soft seat burnout, secondary metal‑to‑metal sealing maintains basic integrity.

5. Dimensions & Weight (Reference)

Values are typical for EN 1092‑1 PN40 RF flanges. Final dimensions to be confirmed from certified GA drawings.
