Technical Data Sheet – Y Pattern Lift Check Valve

Model: DN8-PN40 Y Pattern Lift Check Valve

1. Product Description

The Y Pattern Lift Check Valve is a spring-loaded, automatic non-return valve. Its Y-shaped body provides a straight-through flow path with low pressure drop, while the lift-type disc ensures rapid, positive closing when flow reverses. Designed for DN8 and PN40 rating, it is suitable for high-pressure systems in compact piping layouts.

Note: Dimensions are for reference and may vary slightly depending on end connection type. Refer to the final drawing for exact values.

5. Features & Benefits

  • Y‑Pattern Flow Path – Low flow resistance and high flow capacity.

  • Lift Check Design – Spring-assisted disc ensures rapid, chatter-free closing upon flow reversal.

  • High‑Pressure Capability – PN40 rating suitable for steam, high-pressure water, and hydraulic systems.

  • Compact Installation – Can be installed horizontally or vertically (spring‑loaded version).

  • Reliable Sealing – Metal-to-metal or soft seat options available; long service life.

6. Applicable Standards

  • Design & Manufacture: API 602 / BS 5352 / Company Standard

  • Pressure Testing: ISO 5208 / API 598

  • Threaded Ends: ISO 7-1 / ASME B1.20.1

  • Socket Weld Ends: ASME B16.11

7. Typical Applications

  • Steam and condensate systems

  • High-pressure gas pipelines

  • Hydraulic and lubrication systems

  • Chemical and petrochemical auxiliary lines

  • Boiler feedwater systems

8. Important Notes

  1. Ensure the flow direction arrow on the body matches the actual media flow.

  2. For systems with solid particles, install a strainer upstream.

  3. Do not exceed the rated pressure and temperature limits.

  4. Stainless steel body is recommended for corrosive media; carbon steel body for neutral media, oil, and water.
