Technical Data Sheet

Product: Welded Bonnet Globe Valve
Model / Size: 3/4″ – 2500LB – RTJ × SW (Mixed Ends)

1. Product Description

This valve features a fully welded body-to-bonnet connection, eliminating external leakage paths associated with traditional bolted bonnet designs. It is designed for high-temperature, ultra-high-pressure, toxic, flammable, and explosive services.
The valve is supplied with mixed end connections: one end is RTJ flange, the other end is socket weld, allowing installation between a flanged component and a pipe requiring socket weld termination. The disc and seat are hardfaced with Stellite for wear resistance and reliable shut-off.

Max. Allowable Pressure Approx. 42.0 MPa (420 bar) at ambient temperature (38°C)

7. Testing & Inspection

  • Shell Strength Test: 1.5 times rated pressure (hydrostatic); hold time per API 598.

  • High-Pressure Seat Test: 1.1 times rated pressure; no visible leakage.

  • Low-Pressure Pneumatic Test: 0.6 MPa compressed air; seat and packing leakage within allowable limits.

  • Body-Bonnet Weld Examination: 100% radiographic testing (RT) or ultrasonic testing (UT) per ASME Section VIII or equivalent.

  • Operational Test: Full stroke cycling under rated differential pressure to verify smooth operation.

8. Features & Benefits

  1. Zero External Leakage: Full-penetration welded bonnet eliminates flange gasket leakage paths.

  2. Ultra-High Pressure Capability: Class 2500 rating provides safety and reliability for extreme pressure systems.

  3. Mixed End Configuration: RTJ flange on one end for high-pressure flange connections; socket weld on the other end for direct pipe welding, simplifying piping layouts.

  4. Wear & Erosion Resistance: Disc and seat hardfaced with cobalt-based Stellite alloy for extended service life.

  5. Fugitive Emission Compliance: Packing system can meet ISO 15848 or TA-Luft low-emission requirements.

9. Important Notes

  • Flow direction: Refer to the arrow marked on the body. If no arrow is present, confirm directionality with the manufacturer before installation.

  • RTJ flange: Requires the appropriate solid metal ring gasket (e.g., R18 for 1/2″ flange) and must be torqued to the specified value.

  • Socket weld end: Follow the approved Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) to avoid excessive weld stress that may affect valve performance.

  • Installation orientation: Typically installed vertically with handwheel upward unless otherwise specified.
