6. Construction Features
-
Pressure Self-Sealing Bonnet (PSB): Utilizes the medium pressure to act on the seal ring, creating a self-tightening seal. Higher pressure results in a tighter seal. It is easy to disassemble and is ideal for high-pressure applications.
-
Welded Ends: Buttweld or Socket Weld connections eliminate potential leak paths, providing a compact structure and high strength. Suitable for severe high-temperature, high-pressure conditions where leakage is not permitted.
-
Forged Body: The body is fully forged, resulting in dense metal structure and superior mechanical properties compared to cast valves.
-
Anti-Blowout Stem: The stem is designed with an anti-blowout shoulder to ensure safety during packing replacement.
-
Backseat Design: A backseat (body-seat) is provided to allow for safe packing replacement while the valve is in the fully open position.
7. Testing & Inspection
-
Shell Test: 1.5 times the rated pressure
-
High-Pressure Seat Test: 1.1 times the rated pressure
-
Backseat Test: 1.1 times the rated pressure
-
Test Standard: API 598 / ISO 5208
Remarks:
-
The PSB (Pressure Seal Bonnet) design is typically used for high-pressure classes (Class 900 and above). If you require a lower pressure rating with a Bolted Bonnet or Welded Bonnet, please specify.
-
The specific bevel preparation and dimensions for welding ends shall comply with ASME B16.25or as specified by the purchaser.
