| 800 | 427 | 1070 |
*For cryogenic temperatures down to -196°C, pressure rating remains at the 100°F rating (2160 psig) per ASME B16.34.*
Test Pressures (Per API 598):
-
Shell Test: 4500 psig (Hydrostatic)
-
Seat Test (High Pressure): 3240 psig (Hydrostatic)
-
Seat Test (Low Pressure): 60 psig (Pneumatic)
-
Cryogenic Test: Per BS 6364 at -196°C (Optional requirement)
6. Product Features
-
Cryogenic Design: Extended bonnet prevents ice formation on stem packing and ensures reliable operation at -196°C.
-
Floating Ball Design: Provides tight shut-off under high pressure; ball is free to move slightly to press against the downstream seat.
-
RTJ Flanged Ends: Ring-Type Joint connection ensures leak-tight sealing in high-pressure and high-temperature cycling services.
-
Fire-Safe Design: Compliant with API 607, secondary metal-to-metal seat contact in case of seat fire damage.
-
Anti-Static Device: Spring-loaded plunger dissipates static charge across ball and stem to body, preventing spark ignition.
-
Low Fugitive Emissions: Live-loaded packing system (Belleville washers) maintains constant compression on stem seals.
-
Full Bore (Optional): Unrestricted flow passage for minimal pressure drop (if specified).
-
Material Traceability: All pressure-containing parts are fully traceable to mill test reports.
7. Testing & Inspection
-
Visual Examination: Per MSS SP-55
-
Dimensional Check: Per ASME B16.10 & B16.5
-
Hydrostatic Shell Test: 1.5 x 900LB rating at ambient temperature (as per API 598)
-
Hydrostatic Seat Test: 1.1 x 900LB rating (high pressure)
-
Low Pressure Pneumatic Seat Test: 60 psig air
-
Cryogenic Test (Optional): Per BS 6364: at -196°C, cycling test with helium leak detection (leak rate ≤ 100 mm³/s)
-
Non-Destructive Examination (Optional): PT/RT on castings, UT on forged bodies if required.
8. Applications
