1000PSI 2 Piece Solid Bar Forged Floating Ball Valves
Description
Technical Datasheet: 2-Piece Floating Ball Valve
Product Name: 2-Piece Floating Ball Valve
Connection: Female Threaded NPT (National Pipe Thread)
Pressure Rating: 1000 PSI (WOG)
Body Construction: Bar Stock (Forged Bar)
1. General Design Features
-
Type: 2-piece, split body construction (Side Entry). Consists of a main body and an end cap secured by bolts.
-
Material: Machined from solid steel bars (e.g., Stainless Steel or Carbon Steel). This forged/bar stock construction offers higher density and strength compared to castings.
-
End Connections: Female threaded ends conforming to ASME B1.20.1 (NPT) standards.
-
Ball Design: Floating ball principle. The ball is not fixed; under pressure, it floats downstream against the seat to ensure a tight seal.
-
Blowout-Proof Stem: The stem is inserted from inside the body and features a blowout-proof shoulder, preventing stem ejection due to internal pressure.
-
Port Type: Full Port (full bore) or Reduced Port depending on size (Full Port minimizes pressure drop and turbulence).
-
Operation: Standard lever handle with locking device (material: plated carbon steel or stainless steel). Suitable for mounting extensions or actuators.
