Full Welded Body · High‑Temperature Service

Product: 1″ – 600LB Socket Weld Extended Bonnet Floating Ball Valve
Construction: Full Welded Body
Model: [To be specified]

1. Product Description

This floating ball valve features a full welded body design combined with an extended bonnet for high‑temperature service. The body is completely welded (no bolted joints), minimizing potential leak paths and ensuring superior structural integrity under thermal cycling. The extended bonnet acts as a thermal barrier, protecting the stem packing and actuator from elevated temperatures. Socket weld ends provide a permanent, high‑strength connection.

2. Main Technical Parameters

Parameter Value / Description
Nominal Size 1″ (DN25)
Pressure Class Class 600 (PN100 / 10.0 MPa – 15.0 MPa depending on standard)
End Connection Socket Weld (SW) – ASME B16.11
Body Construction Full welded – one‑piece body shell, no bolted bonnet or body flanges
Temperature Range –29°C ~ +300°C (depending on seat/packing materials)
Applicable Media Steam, thermal oil, high‑temperature water, gases, and corrosive fluids within material limits
Face‑to‑Face ASME B16.10 (Class 600)

3. Bill of Materials (Typical for High‑Temperature)

No. Part Name Standard Material Optional Material
1 Body (Welded Assembly) A105 (Carbon Steel) A182 F316 / F304 (Stainless), A217 WC6/WC9 (Alloy)
2 Ball A182 F316 (hardfaced option) 17‑4PH, Stellite® coated
3 Seat Reinforced Graphite / PEEK Metal‑seated (hardfaced)
4 Stem A182 F316 17‑4PH, Inconel
5 Extended Bonnet A105 (welded to body) F316, F22 (Chrome‑Moly)
6 Packing Flexible Graphite with anti‑extrusion rings Graphite + Inconel braid
7 Operator Lever (with lock) Gear operator, pneumatic/electric actuator with heat shield

Note: No body gasket is required due to the full welded construction.

4. Key Features

  1. Full Welded Body

    • Eliminates bolted flange or bonnet joints, significantly reducing potential leak paths.

    • Provides excellent resistance to external leakage and fugitive emissions.

    • Enhances structural strength and resistance to thermal cycling.

    • Compact design with lower weight compared to bolted counterparts.

  2. Extended Bonnet for High‑Temperature

    • Lengthened neck dissipates heat, keeping packing area at a lower temperature.

    • Protects operator and actuator from heat damage.

  3. Blow‑out Proof Stem

    • Stem retained internally; cannot be ejected under pressure.

  4. High‑Temperature Seating

    • Seats available in reinforced graphite, PEEK, or full metal‑seated design for elevated temperatures.

  5. Antistatic Device (Optional)

    • Ensures electrical continuity across the valve.

  6. Fire Safe Design (Optional)

    • Designed per API 607 / ISO 10497; secondary metal‑to‑metal sealing after seat burnout.

5. Dimensions & Weight (Reference)

Extended bonnet length varies with temperature; typical values for service up to 300°C. Final dimensions to be confirmed from certified drawings.
