6. Design Features

  1. Bolted Bonnet (BB): Allows easy access for inspection and maintenance; uses spiral wound gasket for reliable sealing at high pressures.

  2. OS&Y (Outside Screw and Yoke): Stem threads are outside the valve body, protected from the medium, and clearly indicate valve position.

  3. Renewable Seat (RS): Seat ring can be replaced without replacing the entire body, extending valve life and reducing maintenance cost.

  4. Forged Body: A105 forging provides excellent mechanical strength and integrity compared to castings.

  5. Hardfaced Seats: Disc and seat are hardfaced with Stellite to resist erosion and galling.

  6. Backseat: Provides secondary stem seal and allows packing replacement under pressure when valve is fully open.

  7. Anti‑Blowout Stem: Integral shoulder prevents stem ejection due to internal pressure.


7. Inspection & Testing

  • Hydrostatic Shell Test: 94.5 bar (duration per API 598).

  • Hydrostatic Seat Test: 69.3 bar.

  • Low‑Pressure Pneumatic Test: Optional, 6 bar.

  • Material Certification: EN 10204 3.1 available on request.

  • Traceability: Full material traceability from billet to finished product.


Remarks:

  • PN63 rating corresponds to approximately Class 400. For exact pressure/temperature limits, refer to ASME B16.34 or EN 1092-1 Annex.

  • Flange facing and drilling comply with EN 1092-1 Type B1 (raised face). Other flange types (e.g., Type D – plain face) available on request.

  • For sour service (H₂S), NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 compliance can be offered with additional hardness control.
